Radio Tambrin

Tobago's own national voice, broadcasting from the smaller of the two islands. Tobago keeps a distinct identity and a separate calendar from Trinidad, with the Tobago Heritage Festival in the middle of the year celebrating older folk forms, speech bands and traditional dance rather than the soca that dominates across the water. The station carries local news, talk and Caribbean music for an island whose concerns — tourism, the ferry, the relationship with Port of Spain — are genuinely its own.
