Power 95.1 FM

Broadcasting from Melville Street in St George's, Power 95 carries urban music and soca for a Grenadian audience. Grenada is the world's second-largest producer of nutmeg — the spice is on the national flag — and the country is really three islands, with Carriacou and Petite Martinique holding onto older traditions the mainland has partly let go, including the Big Drum or Nation Dance performed at boat launchings and tombstone feasts. The station's season builds through midsummer toward Spicemas in August.
