PONdENDS Radio

A Jamaican internet station built around dancehall, and one of the larger operations of its kind. Independent streams like this one make up a substantial and under-documented part of Jamaican radio — small operations, often run by a single selector, reaching an audience spread across Kingston, Brooklyn, Toronto and London simultaneously. They break tunes, programme by ear rather than by format clock, and collectively they are a significant part of how Jamaican music actually circulates.
