Flava FM 100.7
🇦🇬 Antigua and Barbuda
An Antiguan station carrying soca, dancehall and contemporary Caribbean music. Antigua's own traditional form is benna, a call-and-response song style that worked as a news service and a gossip column — sung commentary on scandal and current events, circulated through markets and street corners before radio existed, and the direct ancestor of the island's calypso. The station's season is Antiguan Carnival, which runs from late July into early August, timed around the anniversary of emancipation rather than the church calendar.
