City Sound FM

Broadcasting from River Road in St George's, City Sound carries urban music, dancehall and soca for Grenada. The island was devastated by Hurricane Ivan in the mid-2000s, which destroyed most of the housing stock and much of the nutmeg crop, and the recovery reshaped the country — it remains a reference point in Grenadian conversation. Radio carried the island through it, and the stations retain the community role that period gave them alongside the music.
