Burning Rockers

A reggae and roots stream serving the British Virgin Islands and beyond. The BVI's own traditional music is fungi — the scratch-band tradition of ukulele, guitar, washboard and gourd shared with the neighbouring US Virgin Islands — but reggae has a permanent place on the dial, as it does across the entire Eastern Caribbean. The territory's major event is the Emancipation Festival in August, among the longest continuously running festivals in the Caribbean.
