A Trinidadian urban station carrying hip hop, R&B, soca and dancehall. Trinidad's population is close to evenly split between people of African and Indian descent, and its music has been arguing with itself productively ever since — soca itself was created in the 1970s by fusing calypso with the Indian rhythms heard around the island. WE FM programmes the contemporary urban end of that spectrum, shifting hard toward soca as Carnival approaches.
